CatCrue
Welcome to the LHHS Band Cät Crüe Information Site |
What is Cät Crüe?
CätCrüe are adult volunteers for the RISD Lake Highlands Area bands who support the students and band directors. Some of the ways we do that are:
- Drive rental trucks to and from away games and competitions. No commercial license (CDL) needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks for away games and competitions
- There is a logistics crew made up of band kids who load most of the instruments
- Provide supervision and load other items (props, drum major podiums/ladders, etc)
- Move percussion equipment and drum major podiums/ladders on and off the field for halftime shows and competitions.
- Build and maintain props
- Grill meals for the band (in advance of home football games in particular)
- Generally starting at 4:30pm
- Escort the band down Church road to the stadium before home games
- We meet in the parking lot at 6:00pm
- Have fun! And appreciate a nod to a certain 1980s metal band.
